Silo Arts Campus

Silos

The Silo Arts Campus reclaims industrial architecture to create a vertical sanctuary for craftsmanship, anchored by the glowing intensity of the currently operational glassblowing silo. This existingcornerstone provides the blueprint for a master-planned expansion that will integrate three additional structures into a cohesive creative ecosystem.

Following the heat-driven theme, the second tower will be dedicated to fired arts, providing a specialized home for ceramics, high-fire kilns, and sculptural experimentation.

Adjacent to this, the third silo for blacksmithing will house the rhythmic strike of hammers and the roar of forges, celebrating the raw power of metalwork.

To unify these disciplines, the final silo will be transformed into a multi-use cultural hub, serving as a community gallery, performance space, much needed business meeting location, and a vital bridge between the tactile world of the maker and the public. Together, these four pillars turn a skyline of cold steel into a vibrant destination for living heritage.

GlassBlowing

Fully Functioning Studio – The Cornerstone

Already 25% completed toward the Silo Arts Campus

This silo has a well-established and proven track record of excellence in glassblowing, consistently demonstrating high-quality programs, operational efficiency, and strong community engagement.

Hot Shop. Real Work. Real Artists.

Our glassblowing studio is already alive—offering classes, demonstrations, and artist residencies that bring heat, light, and movement to the campus.  We offer demonstrations, group tours,  “Blow Your Own” glass experiences, classes, and exhibitions.  We will be updating the Silo with more equipment and tools in order to add new programs such as sandcasting.

Fired Arts

Ceramics, Fused Glass, Torchwork

Where Fire Transforms

Where Fire Transforms — from clay to kiln-fired sculpture, from molten glass to torchworked flame artistry and light—this space will expand access to hands-on creative experiences for all ages and skill levels.

This is an all-inclusive HOT silo.  If it can be done in clay, fine metal, and glass, we’re likely to put it here.  To make this a reality, we need to outfit the studio with the fundamental structural support.  We already have the main equipment donated for this Silo.

The Forge

A Blacksmithing Studio

Forged by Hand

An ancient craft returns—connecting history, skill, and strength through classes, demonstrations, and working artists who shape metal with fire and intention.  This will be the only public access forge within a 50 mile radius.  Many have requested this program, and it will soon become a reality.

Learn how to heat and manipulate metal, watch demonstrations and art talks, and learn what is involved in making a real item out of metal.

We’ve already received over $10,000 of dollars in donated tools and equipment, leaving only structural buildout to complete this Silo.

Allcraft

Multi-use cultural hub (cold arts)

All Mediums, All Makers, All Voices

A dynamic, multicultural creative hub supporting emerging and established artists across many disciplines—painting, fiber, digital media, and beyond.  This adaptive Silo is an empty vessel. In the morning, it’s a kids’ camp; in the evening, oil painting canvas; on weekends, it’s a photography darkroom. We aren’t building a room; we are building an engine.  This will be the house of many creative things.
