MayFest is our annual Spring Festival, in conjunction with City of Bastrop’s Bird City Weekend!
This year, the event is May 6th, 2023, 11am-5pm.
We offer a full day of festivities, including art and craft vendors, artist demonstrations, bird and nature talks by the experts, and of course, lots of fun for kids. You can also view our annual Bird Art Show in the Mezzanine. Admission is free!
We will have demos featuring yarn spinning, miniature sculptures and glassblowing!
Bird and Nature Talks will include; “Wildscaping” your lawn, gardening for hummingbirds, beekeeping and more! Stay tune for the full schedule.

11:30-Noon: Laszlo Perlaky, “Birding with the Artist”

PLUS! 11am-1pm: Pop-Up Blow Your Own Glass Sessions!
First Come, First Served. Ages 14+, Closed toe shoes required. Make your own glass flower in any colors you choose. Cost, $50/flower (20 minute session). **Please note, your flower will be cooled and ready for pick up on Monday May 8th.
