Beginner Level, Dianne Sonnenberg, Instructor

Thursday, Mar. 19th, 11:00am-2:00pm, Cost: $85, includes supply fee

This is a fun, friendly and fast-paced course designed to give you a quick introduction to the
ancient art of mosaics in an easy-to-learn format. You will learn basic mosaic skills in this three
hour “experience” class, enjoy your new creative expression, and go home with two very
impressive completed mosaic projects!
Each participant will create a “treasure box” with a mixed media mosaic inset, and a beautiful
mosaic pendant.
You will learn the basics of how to do mosaics: how to cut tiles and glass, how to work with and
prepare different substrates (surfaces), andamento (different ways of arraying your individual
pieces), design considerations, adhering, and grouting. We will utilize two different methods
with the two projects, to give you a broader understanding of the process of mosaic making.

Materials and supplies are included, tools will be available for in class use.

***Refunds and credits will only be issued for class postponements and cancellations.
