Carol’s Story:

I have had the pleasure of painting & studying the incredible art of transparent watercolor for many years since my formal training at U of MD in the late ‘60’s. European travel with one eye on the Old World colors and a paint brush in my hand has influenced me greatly. As a founding member of the St. Louis Watercolor Society and a past member of Southwest Watercolor Society in Dallas, I have been in the company of some masterful current painters, as well. I currently live in Austin, Texas where I am current President of Waterloo Watercolor Group consisting of 150+ local artists, and a great attendee of featured shows, galleries and studios from Georgetown to Bastrop and more. These offer me many opportunities for new inspiration in this medium and allow me to grow surrounded by other committed artists.
I have been fortunate to study under excellent instructors including artists Judi Betts, Joe Fettingis, Michael Holter, Alexis Lavine and Lian Quan Zhen whom I admire greatly. Teaching adult beginners and influencing advanced painters in watercolor allows me to share this form of expression with fellow artists and to recapture through their work the magic that happens when yellow, red and blue pigments blend with water on paper.
I encourage artists to relax and feel the joy, sign and title each painting and share their Art with friends and family. Entering Shows, illustrating books and marketing my artwork have become favorite activities as I love to share the moments I have created, especially my unique views of life in Texas. If you haven’t done so already, I say add some color to your life! Contact me to see my unique perspective on the world. Commissioned paintings are welcomed.
I am proud to be featured by several art groups including Galleries at Pecan Creek and The Hive and represented at “The Art Escape” in both Austin and Georgetown. If you are a collector of original artwork, prints and cards please stop in to see the line -up of excellent art, artists and craftsmen. It will be worth the trip!
