Carol is an excellent teacher for beginners, giving clear and paced instruction, complete with demos throughout the class.  Those with more experience in watercolor painting will enjoy learning some new tricks and a new perspective.  A supply list will go out to students who want to take home supplies, but the Art Center will provide supplies, otherwise. Class will be held at the Art Center indoors, and masks are not required, but can be provided to you upon request.

Class includes a 1/2 hour lunch break. We have a taco/BBQ truck (Yoli’s) next door to the Art Center, but there is no food available on site.  We have a refrigerator and microwave if you bring your lunch. We will provide tables and chairs in the mezzanine of the Art Center for lunch seating, or we have seating outdoors.  For any questions about the class, please email us at art@lostpinesartcenter.org, or call 512.321.8055.

Carol’s Story:

I have enjoyed painting in the watercolor medium since 1965! Paints, brushes and blocks of paper are my toys and companions wherever
I go. I love entering shows and teaching techniques to beginners as well as advanced students in my workshops. I also write a
monthly blog. It allows me to share this wonderful form of expression with others.

I do sell my originals and like to merchandise my original images on note cards and high quality giclee prints. Many are my unique views
of life in Texas, animals I admire, florals that grab me and scenes from around the world. I consider my paintings fine art and have been
honored to receive awards at juried shows by some of today’s leading watercolorists. Titles are significant and I take my time with them;
many carry a little of my humor … just sayin’.

I paint in my home studio in Austin, Texas. I also belong to several art groups and enjoy the company of some excellent local artists. In the
Austin area I am represented by The Escape in Georgetown and The Art Escape at The Shops at the Oasis on Lake Travis.
