Watercolor by Design with Pomona Hallenbeck~

Pomona Hallenbeck has been teaching for 47 years, and has developed a following of students across the country.  Her classes focus not only on technique, but in the overall approach of the artist in creating a beautiful painting.  In this watercolor class, students will learn how to pull their subject matter into an appealing design, using Pomona’s “tools” of perception.  In her words, people often look, but they don’t see.  Pomona wishes to inspire students to look deeper into the subject of the painting, allowing this well-formed design to emerge.  Each of the six sessions will have a different focus, and students will be asked to do some assignments outside of class.  Some basic drawing skills are preferred, and the class is open to anyone ages 16 and up.
