This September we’re repeating the very first Saturday Creatives class we did about 21/2 years ago! Blackout Poetry. This is tremendous fun and uses a different part of your creative brain.

For those unfamiliar with this activity, you simply pick out a “poem” from random words on a book page. It doesn’t have to make sense, but often these cryptic poems are quite beautiful and thought provoking. You are tapping into your intuitive brain/self to find expression in arbitrary words. Below are some examples, two of which I did this week with nothing more than a printed page and highlighters. They can be super simple or quite complex. These pages can be embellished with color, drawings, or left rather plain with only the words you want encircled.

Please be sure everyone is registered so we know the amount of materials to bring to class.

The cost is just $10 for non-Members, or FREE for Members. Pre-registration required for either, to ensure we have enough supplies.

Ages 12+ are welcome, all supplies are provided for class.

Refunds and credits are only issued for class postponements or cancellations.
