These are 20 minute sessions held in the Glassblowing Silo on the back lawn of the Art Center. You do not need to check in at the office inside, but staff will be available if you have any questions.

All are welcome, ages 14+, to create a flower, mushroom, or ornament/sun catcher made of blown glass, that you heat and shape in your choice of colors.  One person and one project per slot, but others can watch from our shaded bleachers in front of the beautiful glassblowing silo, located on the back lawn of the Art Center.

We are thrilled to welcome a new instructor for the Glass Shop! Risa Recio is a resident of Bastrop, and can’t wait to help you explore the magic of glassblowing.

(The Art Center main building will be closed, but our teacher can let you in the building for bathrooms.)

***Items must cool slowly in the annealers before they are ready to be picked up.

Pieces will be ready for pick up beginning January 6th, 10am-3pm, or later days during business hours.

*** Cotton (natural fiber) clothing is highly recommended, and closed toe shoes are required.
