Add a little springtime color to your window year-round with a whimsical sun catcher you’ve made yourself.  In this workshop, you will learn to cut glass, use the copper foil method to wrap the pieces, solder them together, and add a decorative wire top to hang the piece.  No experience needed.  Use of tools and all materials provided.

The feather represents strength and growth as well as hope and freedom.  Colors have meaning as well, and Bridget will give students a printout of the symbolism of each color, so you can choose your combination.

Bridget’s Story:

Hi I’m Bridget Parker, artist and owner of the “B the stained glass”. I spent my childhood in Louisiana on a farm working and being inspired by nature and wildlife. As I grew older, I moved to Texas and worked in the fashion industry for 20+years wearing stilettos everyday where I learned about textiles, textures, and color design that work well together. Now I have retired after 16 years working as a floral manager designing daily arrangements and event work. All of these things have lead me to my path and passion for creating art using glass.

I have raised two beautiful kids, that have spread their wings and left the nest. I can share my true dream at almost 60 years old. I didn’t want to die and with the potential still untapped inside of me and not share my Knowledge and ideas through art for others to admire and enjoy.
I would like to teach others about stained glass. So they can surround themselves with things that make them happy. It’s like a story could uplift you and leave a feeling or meaning that’s personal to you!
Our Creativity leaves a mark,  A stain for the world to see. “B the stain”.
