Michelle Adams is an Air Force brat. She lived in Germany, Japan, the US, and Panama. Her art background began in Yokohama, Japan in 1959 when she and her family moved there. She attended St. Maur, a private French parochial school . There she had her first art lessons along with learning to do hand work of all types.
She attended the University of Tennessee and Auburn University where she began art school in 1967.
Back to Tennessee in 1968 she graduated with a degree in Foreign Languages in 1969. Art was put on the backburner until 1984 when she started taking watercolor classes in Houston.
Back to the future after retiring from teaching in 2005, she began lessons in watercolor with David Warren and Tina Woodruff.
She took lessons with Rebecca Neef in oils and later with Ann Papadakis.
Throughout the years she had always used a camera to pursue art. And now, armed with an iphone and a camera she still takes photos of everything from walking sticks to cats and dogs. She loves taking photos of foods and plants too.
