Linda G Bauer
I was born and raised on a farm and ranch in a small town in SE Texas. I have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember.
As a teenager, back in the film days, I began entering photo contests and collecting ribbons. After graduating college, I worked full time and didn’t do much with my photography. After the digital cameras came out, I started dabbling back in it. In 2010 I moved back to my parents farm to become a caregiver for my Dad. While there, I found a new love of photography. With farming and ranching all around, there was so much nature to photograph. I would spend hours outside with my camera admiring and capturing all the wonderful things that God had put on this earth for us to enjoy.
When I moved back to Austin in 2014, I decided I could not go back into the corporate world and would pursue my photography full time. I knew I wanted to move out of South Austin where I had lived for 27 years and find some land to live on. In November of 2016, I bought some land and moved to Bastrop. The pine trees and wildlife reminds me of the area I grew up.
I photograph mostly team and individual sports, seniors (both HS and Senior Citizens), and events. I also really enjoy my quiet time with my camera enjoying the world around me.
I am an active member of several professional photographer associations, Bastrop and Smithville Chamber of Commerce, and Bastrop and Smithville Art Leagues.
