Adrienne is a polymer clay artist in Buda, Texas, just over the county line from Austin. She began making beaded jewelry in high school, and studied painting briefly at the University of Michigan. While her life’s dream was always to be an artist, she got her engineering degree and worked in the computer field for 20 years. After taking a Photoshop class in a web design program, Adrienne gradually turned back to her artistic side. She re-entered the art world doing graphic design, logos, and painting designs on clothing and furniture; but when she returned to her jewelry roots, she discovered polymer clay, and she found her home. Adrienne is inspired by ability of polymer clay to create intricate patterns and masquerade as anything from metal to semi-precious stones to food. She initially began making jewelry, but expanded into wall art, sculpture, and decorative household objects. Her mixed media wall pieces often feature iconic figures such as goddesses, Frida Kahlo, and The Green Man.
